Manchester City's Republic of Ireland defender Alan Kernaghan - a pounds 1.6m buy from Middlesbrough - has joined Bradford City on a month's loan.

Roberto Baggio, Jurgen Klinsmann and other established European players will not be at the Atlanta Olympics this summer. Uefa confirmed yesterday that it will not abide by new rules allowing teams to field three big- name players over the age of 23 for the Olympics.
