We say: Well, there's not much to do here except move in and pour yourself a glass of wine. The interiors are lovely, and there are large lawned gardens outside. The house is about 12 miles from Grantham, which may or may not have pleasant associations depending on your political viewpoint. For those with young families, it's worth noting that there are some very good grammar schools nearby.

They say: A three-bedroom corner house with good natural light and excellent entertaining space. The accommodation is well planned, with two patio gardens plus off-street parking.

We say: Before you panic about the cost of a three bedroom house these days, bear in mind that the owners have done away with the fourth bedroom to create a fabulous, enormous master suite with a huge bathroom. You could always convert it back if necessary. The outdoor spaces are at the front, though, which might not appeal to everyone.

We say: It good to see a two-bedrrom flat with a separate kitchen - and one that's large enough to accommodate a table and chairs, at that. It means that cooking smells will be contained, and the huge sitting room can be dedicated to just that. This is a great flat for starters and, unlike many first flats, it has easily enough room for a young family.

We say: The kitchen isn't quite as fabulous as the rest of the house and could benefit with an update. There's a lot of space and character, but it is possible to have too many exposed beams, you know.
