Separating puppies from their mothers too early can lead to behavioural problems later in life, a study has found.
Dogs taken from the litter aged between 30 and 40 days were far more likely to be destructive, noisy or aggressive than those separated at 60 days, according to a survey of 140 dogs by vets in Naples, Italy, published in the Veterinary Record.
