Your support makes all the difference.The European Commission and the Mies van der Rohe Foundation have announced the six finalists for this year's Mies van der Rohe Award, also known as the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture.
Chosen from more than 300 projects in over 30 European countries, the shortlist includes the Neues Museum in Berlin, Germany by David Chipperfield Architects; the Bronks Youth Theater in Brussels, Belgium by MDMA (Martine De Maeseneer Architecten); the MAXXI museum in Rome, Italy by Zaha Hadid Architects; Jean Nouvel's Concert House Danish Radio in Copenhagen, Denmark; the Acropolis Museum in Athens, Greece by Bernard Tschumi Architects; and the Rehabilitation Centre Groot Klimmendaal in Arnhem, the Netherlands by Koen van Velsen.
The winner will be announced at an award ceremony that takes place at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion in Barcelona, Spain on June 20.
