Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Three Copenhagen-based creatives have joined forces for KiBiSi, a new design label that will release a carefully curated selection of products, it was announced November 24.

Lars Holme Larsen of Kilo Design, Bjarke Ingels of BIG architects, and Jens Martin Skibsted of Skibsted Ideation previously collaborated on products and founded KiBiSi, a combination of acronyms standing for their individual labels, because of their common belief that an item should express its brand's identity rather than a designer's esthetic. Their common expertise spans the fields of architecture, design, furniture, electronics, transportation, contemporary culture and lifestyle.

"KiBiSi merges the faculties of its founders into a symbiotic hybrid of design, architecture and ideation: The production knowhow and design sensibility of Kilo Design, the big ideas and large scale perspective of BIG architects, and the idea driven innovation and brand awareness of Skibsted Ideation," the designers said in a statement.

Their inaugural collection that will be released on the new label includes an urban Puma bike series, sleek TMA headphones, and chairs produced for the Danish Pavilion at the World Expo in Shanghai next year. Products will become available in 2010.
