With the help of GPS technology and a database of more than a thousand pictures, the tool gives you the landmarks of 270 cities around the globe as well as "hidden gems," complete with directions how to get there.
In addition, architecture fans can learn more about the background of the building and the respective architects, ranging from Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe to Frank Lloyd Wright and the most recent Pritzker Prize winner Peter Zumthor. Most information, apart from maps and Google Street View pictures, can also be accessed without internet connection.
The application, which can be tested for free on iTunes, has been recommended by design media and architects alike.
