Five Indian police officers have been suspended for allegedly cutting off the penis of a man suspected of kidnapping a young girl, AFP reports from New Delhi. The Rajasthan state administration has ordered an investigation into the incident, which the Indian Express said had triggered angry protests and a general strike in the remote town of Barmer where it occurred.
