Miami - A federal magistrate yesterday approved the extradition of fugitive tycoon Juergen Schneider to Germany to face charges that he cheated creditors of $3.6bn in the country's biggest post-war real estate scandal.US magistrate William Turnoff gave the government a week to prepare the extradition order and said Schneider and his wife, Claudia, should remain imprisoned in Miami until the order is signed. Schneider, one of the biggest landowners in Europe, faces bankruptcy, fraud and forgery charges. AP
