Phnom Penh (Reuter) - At least four British peace- keepers have been taken hostage by Khmer Rouge guerrillas in north-west Kompong Chnnang province, UN sources said yesterday. The men, part of a United Nations observer team in Cambodia were abducted while on a routine maritime naval reconnaissance along the Sen River, the sources said.
An official UN source confirmed the hostage taking and said: 'During the first 24 hours we don't want to attract too much attention.' Another source added: 'There are at least four (peace-keepers).'
