International Women’s Day: breaking the global glass ceilings
Your support helps us to tell the story
As your White House correspondent, I ask the tough questions and seek the answers that matter.
Your support enables me to be in the room, pressing for transparency and accountability. Without your contributions, we wouldn't have the resources to challenge those in power.
Your donation makes it possible for us to keep doing this important work, keeping you informed every step of the way to the November election

Numerous events will be taking place to mark International Women’s Day. In Afghanistan there will be the launch of the Herat International Women’s Film Festival, the first of its kind, which will show 30 films by and about women.
In Moscow, there will be celebrations in the major parks across the city, with free ice skating for women in the city’s eight major rinks. In business capital Dubai there will be a global women leaders conference, to bring together and inspire women executives and entrepreneurs.
Meanwhile the cities of Delhi, Cape Town, Johannesburg and New York will be coordinating “Ring the Bell” marches, as inspired by the domestic violence campaign of the same name launched in India. America will see a celebration at Google’s office in Boulder, Colorado to highlight the contributions of women to technology, while in Australia events will include a talk in Adelaide by Papua New Guinea’s first female judge Justice Catherine Davani.
To top it all off, a group of Nepalese women will complete their mission to climb the tallest mountain in each of the seven continents when they reach the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro this week; quite literally breaking the world’s highest glass ceiling.
