Neighbours, in Dera Ghazi Khan, a small city on the Indus River, took the boy to a city hospital’s trauma centre.

As quoted by the newspaper, Medical Superintendent Dr Moosa Kaleem said he sustained 25 per cent burns and is no longer in a critical condition.

Police say they have arrested and charged three suspects after the incident on Saturday, adding: “Residents told us that there is an old family feud between them.”

In a second Express Tribune report today, residents reported the dispute surrounded property in a feud lasting more than a decade.
