Watch a live feed above as the Ever Given is moved along the Suez Canal.
The Ever Given, a massive container ship which has blocked the Suez Canal for six days, has been successfully refloated and is “no longer grounded”, the canal authority has confirmed.
In a statement the Suez Canal Authority said that the vessel was fully floated on Monday and traffic in the waterway would resume.
A canal service firm also confirmed that the Ever Given was no longer grounded. Leth Agencies said in a tweet: “It is with utmost pleasure that we can confirm that the Suez Canal Authority and staff have succeeded in re-floating M/V EVER GIVEN.
“She is currently underway to Great Bitter Lake… M/V EVER GIVEN is no longer grounded.”
