A video has captured the moment that a group of Palestinian men tried to help an Israeli settler family after a car crash.

Footage shows the men running towards an overturned vehicle that is badly damaged.

“A very tragic accident just took place,” said one of the men.

The crash happened on a motorway in Hebron, in an occupied area of the southern West Bank.

“He has young children in the car! He has young children in the car!” one of the men can be heard saying in Arabic.

“Go check the other car! Guys! Call the ambulance! Hurry.”

After several minutes a toddler and two young children were rescued with their mother.

The children were bleeding and crying.

An unidentified victim appeared to still be lying in the wreckage of the car.

The men called a Palestinian ambulance to take the settlers to hospital.

The victim’s condition is not clear.

One person commenting on the video said: "Peace Israel Palestine please!"

A second person said, "Indeed this video has proved humanity comes first, not politics or faith."
