Your support makes all the difference.PHNOM PENH (Reuter) - The head of UN peace-keepers in Cambodia yesterday accused the Khmer Rouge guerrilla faction of 'a deliberate policy of terror'.
'Ceasefire violations continue and have increased in number, particularly in the areas of the country which the (Khmer Rouge) control in the north,' the Japanese diplomat, Yasushi Akashi, told a meeting of Cambodia's all-faction Supreme National Council.
Mr Akashi, who heads the UN Transitional Authority in Cambodia, said the Khmer Rouge were conducting artillery barrages and laying new landmines. 'The nature of these activities points to a deliberate policy of terror against ordinary Cambodians,' he said.
