Jewish settlers will shoot Palestinian policemen if they feel threatened, their leaders warned yesterday as they announced a big new campaign against the Palestinian autonomy deal, AFP reports from Jerusalem. 'Israelis have to defend their lives if they are in danger and not obey any orders from a Palestinian policeman,' said Ron Nahman, right-wing MP and mayor of the West Bank settlement of Ariel. 'If a policeman poses a threat to the life of an Israeli citizen, you have to act as in all such cases and defend yourself by shooting him.'
