Your support makes all the difference.Douglas Hurd, the Foreign Secretary, told Indian officials that India and Pakistan's simmering dispute over Kashmir must be settled through dialogue between the two neighbouring countries, Tim McGirk reports from New Delhi. Mr Hurd, who met the Prime Minister, Narasimha Rao, said 'credible interlocutors' among the Kashmiris must be involved in the talks to end the crisis, which has sparked war twice between Indian and Pakistan. Mr Hurd said there must be 'a cessation of outside interference' in Kashmir.
