Security sources said that two bullets hit the cruiser on Thursday afternoon near the town of El-Qusiya, 190 miles south of Cairo, but nobody was hurt. The boat spent the night under heavy police guard in the provincial capital, Assiut. Further south, in the once-busy tourist resort of Aswan, security sources said a bomb exploded outside a bakery on Thursday night, causing no damage or casualties.
