Forty-nine years after he was killed by a Hindu fanatic and cremated in Delhi, Mahatma Gandhi's ashes will be immersed in the Ganges this month. The ashes, placed by aides in a State Bank of India locker, will be handed to a relative today after a recent Supreme Court order.
