The rock musician Frank Zappa, who used his scathing, sometimes raunchy satire to lampoon everyone from presidents to homosexuals, died of cancer, aged 52, Reuter reports from Los Angeles. He made his name in the 1960s as leader of the experimental band the Mothers of Invention.
