Victoria Ronzulli, aged 18 months, must be something of an expert on the workings of the European Parliament.

She was on hand again yesterday as her mother Licia, an MEP from Italy's Lombardy region, took part in a vote at Strasbourg.

Victoria was first seen in the chamber at seven weeks old, tied in a sling around Mrs Ronzulli's shoulders as the former nurse dealt with political matters.
