The schoolgirl was involved in a collision with a tram on the Red Line outside the Jervis Street shopping centre before 9am this morning, the Belfast Telegraph reported.
The girl, whose identity is yet unkown, suffered injuries to her leg, and was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital on the north-side of the capital city as a precautionary measure.
Footage shot and shared on Facebook by a user named Łukasz Piguła shows the left girl’s leg trapped under the vehicle.
She appears to be screaming in pain in the footage, as passers-by rally on one side of the tram and attempt to push it away from the concrete platform and release the girl.
After three attempts, the group is successful and the girl is able to remove her leg.

Dublin’s twin-lined Luas light railway system connects east and south Dublin with the city centre. In the past, four people have died in separate incidence, and many others have been injured, according to the website.
The Luas operator is now investigating the incident and says it will review CCTV footage.
