Vandals have damaged dozens of tombs in a historic Jewish cemetery in eastern France, breaking and overturning headstones, police said.
Regional police said the vandalism occurred over the past month at the 18th-century cemetery in Sarre-Union, where 37 gravestones were damaged.
Police are investigating the attacks, but said no clues were left behind and they had few leads.
The cemetery, isolated and surrounded by a wall, was vandalized in the 1970s and again several times last year.
