Sunday's parliamentary election was branded unfair by international observers who said it reversed earlier democratic gains.
President Viktor Yanukovych's Party of Regions was poised to retain its control of parliament.
But the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe criticised the absence from the election of the imprisoned opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko, the unfair use of government resources by the ruling party and biased media.
