More than 4.83 million people were registered as jobless at the end of October, an increase of 2.7% on September.
The nation's unemployment rate stood at 25% at the end of the third quarter. The jobless rate is 52% for those under 25.
Spain, the fourth largest economy among the 17 countries that use the euro, is in its second recession in three years.
