Pope John Paul yesterday beatified two bishops, eight priests and a Roman Catholic teacher who died for their faith during the Spanish Civil War, Reuter reports from Rome. Those honoured included Diego Ventaja Milan, bishop of Almeria, and Manuel Medina Olmos, bishop of Guadix.
