A body has been found in the search for a missing mother-of-three has been found in woodland a short distance from her home.

Natalia Karaczyn disappeared on 28 April after leaving her home in Irish town of Sligo. It is believed the 30-year-old went to the cinema and then a house party before she vanished.

The body was found three days later in a wooded area around three miles to the south-west of the town.

The remains have not been formally identified.

The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified and members of the Garda Technical Bureau have been tasked to examined the scene.

In an earlier appeal for information on Facebook, Ms Karaczyn's sister Magdalena McMorrow said the disappearance was out of character..

“She has three children and would never have done this before," she wrote. “She went to the cinema and Garavogue after. She is believed to have gone to a house party around Crozon/Caltragh afterwards.

She added: "We have seen the CCTV footage from Crozon Inn and we could see her walking home around 6.30am on Sunday morning. However, the CCTV can reach as far as approx 50 meters from her home in Crozon Park. She has never made it back home that morning.".

A 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with Ms Karaczyn's disappearance but was later released without charge.

Authorities are appealing for more information as investigations continue.
