The pilot of a Swedish military aircraft ejects as his jet plunges to the ground. The plane went out of control during an air display over central Stockholm that was being watched by almost half a million people. Police said it was a miracle that no one was hurt as the single-engine Jas-39 Gripen suddenly lost altitude while flying low over a road bridge crowded with thousands of spectators. The aircraft then crashed into a wooded area of a densely populated suburb. The pilot was taken to hospital but was not badly hurt.
