Passengers on flights to Hannover's Langenhagen Airport were diverted.
One, Adam Nicholls, detailed the consequences.
“Just landed back at Heathrow Airport after Hanover Airport got shut down due to a suspect package, after we had circled over head for 30 minutes,” he said.
The airport reportedly opened later after security officials detonated the suspicious package.
