Your support makes all the difference.South African democracy negotiators broke a deadlock yesterday over who should write a post- apartheid constitution and paved the way for confirmation of a date for all-race elections by the end of the week, Reuter reports from Johannesburg. Leaders from 26 parties and interest groups agreed that the current council negotiating the end of white-minority rule would draw up an interim constitution based on both strong central and regional government. The African National Congress negotiator, Cyril Ramaphosa, said: 'The route map to democracy has been adopted. This is wonderful.'
