Police yesterday said they were investigating the possible role of criminal Chinese gangs in the killing of six Chinese citizens, five of whom were found mutilated in a Spanish seaside resort, AP reports from Gandia. News reports said police broke into the Ciudad del Mar restaurant in Gandia, 340km (210 miles) south-east of Madrid, late on Saturday and found the mutilated body of the manageress in a freezer. Subsequent investigations led to the discovery of four other bodies in an apartment above the restaurant.
