A stain on a pavement that has been revered by Mexicans as resembling the Virgin of Guadalupe was moved above ground and blessed by clerics. Bearing flowers and candles, people queued to touch the shrine to Mexico's newest icon, the "Virgin of the Metro", which was discovered by a cleaner in the subway on 1 June.
