Yemeni military sources said Eritrean forces were firing at Yemeni positions on the Red Sea island of Greater Hanish from warships but have not landed yet.
A Yemeni statement accused Eritrean troops of "treacherous aggression and piracy ... violating territorial waters and threatening security, stability and international shipping in the Red Sea area." Reuter
