Incredible footage has been released that shows two giant Great White Sharks ferociously attacking one another off the coast of the Neptune Islands, South Australia.

The video, filmed by diving enthusiast Russell Gordon, shows the two predators attacking one another not once, but twice, in this extremely rare piece of footage.

In the video, the two sharks are just metres away from Gordon’s cage as they, quite literally, rip chunks out of one another.

At one point, it appears as if blood is drawn as the aggressor sinks his teeth into his rival’s skin.

Writing online about his experience, Russell said “this video is unique because neither shark has been influenced by bait.”

He added: “Some of you may have viewed other footage of shark on shark attacks but these are purely accidental incidences because the two sharks strike at the bait line and inadvertently hit each other.”

This is the second video in a week that shows Great White Sharks attacking each other in the seas just off the Neptune Islands.

Footage captured by sailor Adam Malski was uploaded by Barcroft TV onto Youtube on Tuesday, and shows a similar exchange between two of the ocean’s most effective predators.

In the video we see a much larger shark attack a smaller one as the two fight for bait laid out by Malski and his crew.

Following the video, Malski said: “Noone had never seen anything like it before. I believe that it is extremely rare footage as great whites are elusive and still largely unknown creatures.”
