The pair, known only as Katie and Chris and who live in Maroubra in eastern Sydney, woke up at around 2am to find the 25-year-old Irish stranger completely naked under their bed covers.
Katie’s partner Chris asked the man to leave, after which he retrieved his clothes and made his way into their back garden.
The couple called the police while attempting to shut the intruder in the garden. However, the Irishman then climbed through the kitchen window and proceeded to wonder around their home until the police arrived and arrested him, according to the Sydney Daily Telegraph.
Soon after, the man began convulsing and an ambulance was also called to the scene.
Speaking to the Sydney Daily Telegraph Katie said: “It was terrifying.”
“Chris is on one side, I'm in the middle and then our stranger on the end right in with us."
She said that she was unsure how long the man had been in the bed with them.
"He was asleep, I could feel heat," she added.
Neighbours who witnessed the arrival of the emergency services said that the man was still naked while being moved from a police car to the ambulance, according to reports.
The man is currently undergoing medical checks at Prince Wales Hospital. He is due to be interviewed by police over aggravated breaking and entering charges.
