Girl, 17, survives being impaled by three metal rods on construction site in India
The teenager had fallen from a roof in Bihar, eastern India

A 17-year-old girl has miraculously survived being impaled on three metal rods after falling from a roof in India.
The teenager landed on a building that was under construction, where the rods were sticking out of a reinforced concrete pillar, the Hindustan Times reported.
They pierced her hips and abdomen but amazingly missed any vital organs.
Emergency services in Bihar had to cut through the steel while holding the girl up so the rods did not move and do more damage.
She was taken to hospital, where she underwent a five-hour operation. The rods were inside her for between 10 and 12 hours.
Doctors at the Ruban Patliputra Hospital in Patna managed to remove the metal and said she was recovering.
The teenager, who has not been named, was from Chappra, in north Bihar.
