The video purportedly shows a member of staff from the bathhouse opening the wooden locker and a woman, reportedly the mother, pulling out the crying child.
It was unclear how the child found itself in the locker and whether or not they had been left deliberately.
The video, first published on the Chinese website Knews, shows a member of staff shocked to discover the baby waiting there for the return of the parents.
It was unclear how long the child had been in the locker before it was freed.
The video of the scene was posted on social media and users reacted with horror.
On the Chinese social media platform Weibo, users were quick to criticise the parents' behaviour as "careless" and "heartless".
One user said: "These parents should not be allowed to have children."
