Your support makes all the difference.A French journalist disguised as a woman was arrested in eastern Afghanistan today along with two Pakistani companions. One report said he was being accused of spying.
The Afghan Islamic Press said they were arrested about 20 miles east of Jalalabad. The agency said the reporter was Michel Peyrard of the illustrated weekly Paris Match.
He was captured less than a day after British journalist Yvonne Ridley was freed after she too was arrested in Afghanistan disguised as a local woman in an all-encompassing burqa. John Simpson of the BBC also made a foray ionto Afghanistan dressed as a woman.
