Your support makes all the difference.Lisbon (Reuter) - Angola's ruling MPLA party and the former rebel movement, Unita, have accepted a proposal to form a coalition government after this month's elections, a senior Portuguese official said in Luanda yesterday.
A joint statement from three observer countries in Angola, read out on Portuguese radio, referred to a willingness on both sides to form a government of reconciliation.
The Portuguese Secretary of State for Co-operation, Jose Manuel Durao Barroso, made it clear in remarks from Luanda to Portuguese state television that the future government would reflect proportionately the results of the elections.
