Your support makes all the difference.A six-year-old boy has been hailed a hero after he jumped into a swimming pool to save his twin 21-month-old cousins from drowning.
Branson Lee, from Calhoun, saw toddlers Issac and Kaden Kelley floating in the pool behind the family’s house in Calhoun, Louisiana and despite not being able to swim, he entered the shallow end and dragged the boys out.
Once out of the pool, Lee alerted the family by shouting for help.
"We ran out there and they were laying on the side on the pool and were completely blue and completely lifeless," the twins’ mother 32-year-old Jeannie Kelley told ABC news.
The twins’ father, a first responder, began CPR and after around thirty seconds, the two twins began to respond.
Mrs Kelley said Lee had spotted his own brother heading towards the pool and went in after him - before he saw the twins.
She said her two boys had managed to get into the pool via a baby gate, which is normally locked.
"That is the only way people can come in," she said. "They’re supposed to lock the baby gate behind them. They left the baby gate unlocked and the babies were able to gain access outside because the baby gate was left unlocked."
After being revived, Issac and Kaden Kelley were taken by helicopter to a nearby, by which time they had recovered enough to speak.
"They were both playing and talking like nothing ever happened to them,” she said. "The doctors were just astounded. This is just a miracle. I’m so overwhelmed that God was so good to us."
