Multiple people were injured in a shooting at a Wisconsin shopping mall, according to reports.

None of the eight victims suffered life-threatening injuries but the gunman was still “at large” according to the mayor of Wauwatosa.

It is not known where or who the shooter is, reported WISN12.

On police radio officers could be heard describing the shooter as a “white male in a grey hoodie.”

The medical examiner has also reportedly not been requested by authorities at the Mayfair Mall, indicating that there are no fatalities.

“The Wauwatosa Police Department is currently involved in an active shooter incident at Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa,” said Wauwatosa mayor Dennis McBride.

"Multiple injured victims have and are being transported from the north end of the Macy’s Department Store.

"None of the victims' injuries appear to be life threatening.

"The perpetrator is ‘at-large’ at this time.

"There are approximately 75 police officers on scene at this time.

"It will take time to provide additional, and perhaps, more accurate information, but information will be provided as it becomes available."

Law enforcement has responded from Wauwatosa, Milwaukee, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office, and State Patrol.

A woman told WISN12 that she was shopping on the second floor of Macy’s when she heard between eight and 12 shots fired.

Another woman said her friend was working in Macy’s when the incident happened.

"They’re very scared. They’re just hiding. That’s all they can do right now," said Becky Clark.
