California Governor Gavin Newsom appeared on MSNBC’s Inside with Jen Psaki on Sunday and said of the Silicon Valley tycoon: “I have known Elon for over 20, 25 years. One of America’s great entrepreneurs and innovators, but this is not the person I knew even two years ago.

“And with respect to Elon, I just don’t have the confidence that there’s other things that he’s not up to behind the scenes – not just what he is expressing quite publicly.”

Speaking to the Reverend Al Sharpton yesterday, the Democrat was asked about her rival calling her a “s*** vice president” the night before, to which she had this to say:

“Is this really the closing message you want voters to hear from Donald Trump – stories about Arnold Palmer’s penis?” an incredulous Jake Tapper asked House speaker Mike Johnson on State of the Union yesterday.

The 44th president took his swing state tour on behalf of Kamala Harris to Las Vegas yesterday, where he wasted no time in taking Trump to task for his many failures of leadership.

Two other Black superstars speaking up for Kamala in key states over the weekend were Lizzo and Usher, the former cheering her on in Michigan and the latter in Georgia.

Kamala Harris spent Sunday, her 60th birthday, in the company of Black churchgoers at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Stonecrest, Georgia, where she read the parable of the Good Samaritan and urged her audience to sow compassion and respect in their daily lives and do more than just “preach the values”.

Unexpectedly, Donald Trump appears to have been listening, briefly putting aside election hostilities to wish her a happy birthday in the spirit of brotherhood.

The broadcaster has at last come back at the former president over his repeated false claims that its show 60 Minutes edited its recent interview with Kamala Harris to make her answers appear more favorable.

In a statement issued to another CBS program, Face the Nation, on Sunday morning, the network declared: “Former president Donald Trump is accusing 60 Minutes of deceitful editing of our October 7 interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. That is false.

“When we edit any interview, whether a politician, an athlete, or movie star, we strive to be clear, accurate and on point.

“The portion of her answer on 60 Minutes was more succinct, which allows time for other subjects in a wide ranging 21-minute-long segment.”

It also reiterated its offer to Trump to sit down for his own Q&A after he backed out of an initial agreement to appear.

“Our long-standing invitation to former president Trump remains open.

“If he would like to discuss the issues facing the nation and the Harris interview, we would be happy to have him on 60 Minutes.”
