“Iran knows that and has been put on notice. If you f**k around with us, if you do something bad to us, we are gonna do things to you that have never been done before,” said the president.
It is certainly not the first time that Mr Trump has publicly used strong language.
In March he was caught swearing on a hot mic before his coronavirus address from the Oval Office.
““A what? Oh f**k… Uh oh, I got a pen mark,” Mr trump was overheard saying before his remarks.
In October 2019 the president took to Twitter to attack Democrats and accused them of “wasting everyone’s time and energy on B******T."
And in his first public remarks after being acquitted in his impeachment trial in February he said: “We first went through Russia, Russia, Russia. It was all b******t.”
Observers say it is unclear if Mr Trump’s swearing on over-the-air radio and TV is legal.
The Federal Communications Commission, which regulates the industry, says that federal law prohibits “obscene, indecent and profane content from being broadcast.”
But what meets that standard is dependent on the circumstances the FCC says.
Mr Trump called into Mr Limbaugh’s show on Friday for two hours and told the host that he felt much better after his treatment for Covid-19 last weekend.
The president awarded the conservative talk show host the Presidential Medal of Freedom earlier this year during his State of the Union address.
