KTLA reports that his mum then gave him a hug off camera before he went off to start his first day in pre-kindergarten at City Terrace Elementary School.
“This breaks my heart and now I’m anxious about sending my kids to school! He was trying to be so brave!” Courtney Friel, the show’s presenter, wrote on Instagram.
