A Florida substitute teacher has found a peculiar way to settle an apparent grudge against someone at her school.

Heather Carpenter, a substitute teacher at Phillippi Shores Elementary School, will be arraigned on Friday for allegedly spreading human excrement on the tables and grills of a public park to sabotage the school principal’s birthday party for her 6-year-old daughter.

Witnesses saw the 42-year-old educator, wearing rubber gloves and a face mask, allegedly smearing human faecal matter around 6.30am on 1 December nearby a pavilion in Urfer Park.

The police spoke to the principal who said there was an ongoing dispute between her and the substitute teacher. The principal’s daughter is in Ms Carpenter’s class.

When investigators visited the home of Ms Carpenter, the 42-year-old confessed to the revenge-filled sabotage attack, according to police. She police officers that she threw the excrement around the pavilion because she was disappointed over how a complaint she filed at school was being handled and wanted to break up the birthday celebrations.

Ms Carpenter was arrested on 7 December on suspicion of criminal mischief. Court reports show that she was released the following day on a $2,500 bond.
