A $94m jackpot-winning Powerball ticket was sold in a New York liquor store, lottery officials announced.

The winner purchased the ticket at Minogue’s Beverage Center on Route 9 in Malta, Saratoga County, according to lottery officials.

The ticket’s winning numbers, drawn Wednesday night, were 10, 17, 31, 51, 53 and the red Powerball, 01, with the winner choosing the numbers at random through the quick pick option.

According to NorthJersey.com, the Powerball ticket’s cash value is $75.5m.

A second-place $2m ticket that matched five numbers but not the Powerball was sold in Texas, according to officials.

The winner of the second-place prize spent an additional $1 to choose their numbers, which doubled the standard $1m prize.

The last Powerball winner was in August, when a lottery player in Florida won the $168.5m jackpot.

The jackpot has since reset to $20m with a $16m cash option for Saturday’s drawing, according to NorthJersey.com

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338, according to CNBC, while the odds of winning the second prize are 1 in 11,688,053.

The Powerball jackpot winner comes a day after a ticket sold in Wisconsin won the $120m Mega Millions jackpot, marking the first time a Mega Millions jackpot was won in the state.
