The suspect, Daron Dylon Wint, 34, had previously worked for the Savopoulos family’s business American Iron Works and was arrested late on Thursday night.
Savvas, 46, and Amy Savopoulos, 47, their 10-year-old son Philip and the family’s housekeeper Veralicia Figueroa were victims of the crime. Mr Wint is accused of killing the four victims, setting the family’s house on fire and fleeing with $40,000 in cash.
A local Domino's pizza shop confirmed that pizza was delivered to the home. Mr Wint paid for two pizzas with an envelope full of cash left on the porch. When arrested by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, Mr Wint was carrying $10,000 in cash at the time of his arrest, CNN reported.
Mr Wint will now face first degree felony murder charges.
