At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Tucker Carlson hosted Jeffrey Felix on the channel, to speak about his new book, Guarding The Juice: How OJ Simpson Became My Prison BFF.
Mr Carlson admitted that he had not read the self-published book, which has been criticised by OJ Simpson’s legal representative. He said: “Apparently you have a chapter describing his private parts? The whole chapter?”
Mr Felix responded: “That was more my co-writer’s idea. After seeing that and after seeing him, I felt inadequate about myself.”
Mr Carlson went on: “Ok…without getting into any more of those details, thank you very much, maybe that’s why he’s annoyed?”
Mr Felix said: “How can you be annoyed about that? That’s a compliment. If you say he’s not working with anything that would be horrible.”
The Fox News anchor swiftly ended the interview after saying that he “sided with OJ.”
A number of Fox News viewers were equally unimpressed by Mr Felix’s testimony. Brian Komanowski wrote on Twitter: “I can't believe this happened on live TV, I was cringing for this correctional officer! He even tried to blame his co-writer for the chapter.”
Another wrote: “This whole segment was just embarrassing.”
In a press conference about Simpson’s release, his lawyer, Malcom LaVergne, told an ESPN reporter that the former prison guard’s testimony was false.
He said: “Listen, do you know that Jeffrey Felix is a complete fraud? Can’t you tell that that guy is the biggest fraud on the planet?
"I've told ABC News a million times - which is also ESPN, which is also Disney - this guy is a fraud and a phony. And, every single thing he has in that book is made-up.”
The former NFL star has been granted early release from his prison sentence for armed robbery.
He was given a nine-to-33-year sentence in 2008, some 13 years after he was acquitted in the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.
