A California woman who beat cancer twice, including while pregnant, died just one day after giving birth to twins.

Jamie Snider, 30, had cancer prior to her pregnancy as well, losing an ovary in the process of overcoming it.

After she learned she was pregnant, doctors found her cervical cancer had come back aggressively.

Ms Snider, who was already the mother of two daughters - Aubrey and Maddy - went through chemotherapy while pregnant with the twins.

Once again she beat cancer and posted a picture on Facebook, bald, smiling, and ready to welcome her twins who were born through a C-section delivery, the local ABC affiliate reported.

According to her friend, Larina Campanile, Ms Snider wrote in a post, "Tomorrow will be a great day... All your prayers and love have kept me going as well. Wish me luck. I'm having a C-section at 7 and then a [radical] hysterectomy right after. I'll be fine.”

Ms Snider came through the 16 March delivery and subsequent surgery. She named the babies Nico and Camila, who were born premature but healthy nonetheless.

A day later, however, the strain on her body proved too much. Ms Snider experienced congestive heart failure and died on 17 March.

Three GoFundMe pages have been set up to aid her surviving four children and family. One of the pages, set up by a friend of Ms Snider’s mother, read: “Jamie was a such a bright light on this planet. Everything about her was infectious from her beautiful bright green eyes, her big smile, her laugh and her hugs!”

Heath Coigny, the father, is relocating the children to New Hampshire to be closer to relatives, according to Fox News.
