Your support makes all the difference.Two National Guardsmen was arrested on Wednesday night for allegedly supporting Isis and allegedly plotting a terrorist attack on a military post in Illinois, according to the US Justice Department.
Hasan Edmonds, a 22-year-old member of the Army National Guard, was arrested at Chicago Midway International Airport on his way to Cairo, the Justice Department said in a statement.
The FBI also arrested Mr Edmonds’ cousin, Jonas Edmonds, who is a 29-year-old member of the Illinois Army National Guard, at his Illinois home.
Both men are US citizens, the department said.
The FBI became aware of Hasan Edmonds in late 2014 as he hatched a plan to join ISIS overseas while Jonas Edmonds would launch an attack inside the US, according to the Justice Department.
