A feud over the $300m fortune of a reclusive copper-mining heiress has officially been resolved in a New York City court.

Lawyers filed a settlement in the complex fight over Huguette Clark's estate. The agreement gives about $34.5m to nearly two-dozen of Clark's distant relatives. It establishes a foundation to turn her estimated $85m California estate into a museum.

A nurse who got about $30m of presents during Clark's lifetime must give back about $5m and a $1.6m doll collection.

Clark died in 2011 aged 104. She had voluntarily spent 20 years in a Manhattan hospital.
